CSIR UGC NET December 2023: Short  Details : The National Testing Agency (NTA), a part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the Department of Higher Education, has issued a notification regarding the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) for the December 2023 Cycle. This test aims to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for the position of Lectureship (LS) or Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges. The test will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from November 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023, up to 5:00 PM, using the provided link. For NET: There are no restrictions based on upper age.

For JRF: To be eligible, candidates should have been born on or after 02.07.1995. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed for certain categories:

  • Up to 5 years for SC/ST/Third gender/Persons with Disability (PwD)/female applicants.
  • Up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants.

शैक्षणिक योग्यता 

  1. M.Sc or equivalent Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
  2. Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed a 10+2+3 program in the relevant subject can also apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category if they complete their degree with the required percentage within two years. Certification from the Head of the Department/Institute is needed in such cases.
