CBT 2 Exam Pattern
- Candidates for CBT-2 will be shortlisted based on their normalized marks and merit in CBT–1, RRB-wise and community-wise.
- The total number of candidates shortlisted for CBT-2 will be limited to 15 times the number of vacancies notified for each RRB.
- CBT-2 consists of two parts: Part-A and Part-B. It is a Computer Based Exam (CBT) with a total of 100 questions in Part-A and 75 questions in Part-B.
- The exam is based on subjects such as Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, General Awareness on Current Affairs (Part-A), and Relevant Trade and practical knowledge (Part-B).
- There is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes).
- Normalization of marks will be applied for CBTs conducted in multiple shifts.
- The minimum pass percentage for eligibility is UR & EWS – 40%, OBC (NCL) & SC – 30%, ST – 25%.
